Nätaktivisterna is a Swedish project that helps young people take action against fascism on the internet. We thought this was something that was needed, so we were glad to help them with their web presence.
The project was, for us, twofold. First there was the website presenting the Nätaktivisterna project, which is also a resource for people interested in participating. Second, there was the platform for internal discussions.
The design was inspired by the illustrations the client had commissioned. These illustrations are used throughout the Nätaktivisterna communication, as well as on the website of course. Other than that, we wanted the website to be easy to navigate, and to help interested parties be able to get in touch for more information, help, or volunteer their time. We also created their logo, featuring a clear symbol and a design that works in several different color combinations. This carries the Nätaktivisterna tagline of “everyone’s the same, everyone’s different” nicely.
For discussions, we used a forum that requires an invitation. Here, security was extra important, since the anti-fascist activists face harassment online. The discussion platform is closed to registrations and reading, other than for invited users, to let the participants discuss in peace.
